Where we work most

D24 is a wide spread. The Citywest business park and Cookstown industrial estate make up the bulk of the work, alongside The Square Tallaght periphery, the Greenhills industrial belt, and a steady residential trickle for the Tallaght and Templeogue estates. Patterns:

  • Citywest business park — logistics warehouse balustrade, mezzanine retrofit, plant-room steel
  • Cookstown industrial estate — daily small commercial repair, racking-impact bollard work, dock-door bracket repair
  • Greenhills industrial estate — older 1970s units, fence-line and yard-gate repair
  • Tallaght village and The Square periphery — retail-unit bin-store enclosures, shopfront shutters
  • Tallaght / Templeogue residential estates — driveway gates, garden-room steel, side-gate repair
  • Saggart and Rathcoole industrial-units edge — equipment fabrication for the data-centre cluster periphery (sub-contracted)

What a D24 callout actually needs

  • Warehouse mezzanine balustrade. Tenant fit-outs putting in pick-and-pack mezzanines need 1.1m balustrade with kick-board to current standard. EN 1090 EXC2 cert on structural work.
  • Dock-door and loading-bay repair. High-traffic loading bays beat up the steel — door tracks, impact bollards, kerb-edge angle iron. Mobile callout, often quick.
  • Racking-impact bollards. Warehouse aisle ends and rack uprights take forklift damage; we make and fit replacement bollards in mild steel, hot-dipped, with rubber impact-bumper.
  • Residential gates for Tallaght / Templeogue estates. Post-2000 estate housing — typically aluminium or mild-steel sliding side gates. Standard fabrication and fit.

Warehouse & logistics — note on access

Citywest and Cookstown warehouses run shift work. For non-emergency work we'll schedule around quiet hours where requested — typically 6am–9am before the shift change. RAMS supplied per job, Safe Pass on file, €2m public liability cert before any site induction.

Typical response time

  • Weekday 08:00 – 17:00: average 3 hours from confirmed booking
  • Tuesday and Thursday southside half-day batch (combined with Sandyford runs)
  • Same-day: only for emergencies — broken commercial gate, damaged dock-door, fire-escape rendered unusable
  • Fabrication / fit-out lead time: 3–5 weeks ahead, longer in Aug–Nov peak fit-out season
